This is a raw makemkv backup/rip of the Sentai Filmworks NA Blu-ray release of Kaiji, The Suffering Pariah Kaiji, Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor, etc. Seasons 1 and 2. Only Japanese audio, only English subs.

This is NOT a digital remaster or rescan. Season 1 looks scuffed as ever, still very DVD resolution. Compression artifacts are better in general than my other copy of kaiji s1, but it seems like there’s a noise filter or something over it. IDK. I would not definitively say it’s better or worse than the older DVD release. Season 2 looks 1080p native, very nice and sharp. They both have very noticeable interlacing.

But don’t take my word for it, I don’t know what I’m talking about. I just wanted to get this out there ASAP. For the boys.
